Installing and Configuring Kerberos for Macintosh

Kerberos is already installed with MacOS X, however there are some additional packages that need to be installed to make kerberos more user friendly.

Configuring Kerberos for Macintosh

The following package is meant to be installed on top of the Kerberos Extras application detailed above. This package customizes the preferences for use with the networks at the University of Maryland.

Using Kerberos for Macintosh

  1. Launch the Kerberos utility which is located at Application -> Utilities -> KerberosApp

  2. Click on the New button to obtain new tickets

  3. Enter your Directory ID/password in the Name and Password fields.
