How To Get a Laser Print Cost Recovery (LPCR) Account

Personal Print Accounts consist of two parts: a Terrapin Express account and a Print account. Both parts are required!

Terrapin Express Debit Account

Printing costs ten cents per printed page and must be funded through Terrapin Express. Payments may be made by cash, check, or credit card.

You can get a Terrapin Express account one of two ways: online or walk-in. If you wish to open an account online go to http://www.testudo.umd.edu/apps/terpexp/ and pay using a credit card. If you wish to pay with cash or check, you can walk into the Terrapin Express office in room 1109 of the South Campus Dining Hall. Be sure to bring your university ID card with you.

Print Account

Print accounts must be obtained in person at the Office of Information Technology (OIT) Help Desk.

After you have gotten both a Print Account and a Terrapin Express Account and are ready to print you must first transfer money from your Terrapin Express Account to your Print Account. Please read the section on Adding Money to a Print Account to find how to transfer money.
