Open the TSM Client

Enter your TSM password. To change your password, see
Changing Your TSM Password

Expand the directory tree under File Level

Continue to expand the directory tree to the desired level.

Select Edit/Find from the menu. The File Files window is displayed

Enter your search criteria in the Find Files window. If using wildcards in the name,
on the drop-down menu next to Name, select "matches mask". In the edit box to
the right of "matches mask", enter the filter (e.g s*doc for all .doc files that
begin with the letter s).

Click Filter

Click Cancel to close the window. The directory tree displays directories
containing files that match your criteria. Once a filter has been set, nothing will
appear on the Directory-Tree Window that shows that a filter is active. The filter
will remain in place until the Directory-Tree Window is closed and re-opened.

Click the selection boxes next to the files you want to restore, or click the selection
box next to the directory name to select all files that matched your criteria.

Click Restore. The Restore Destination window displays.

Select whether to restore the file to the original location or to specify a new
location. If specifying a new location, enter the information for the new
destination directory.

Click Restore. The Restore Task List window displays the restore
processing status. The restore procedure may take a few minutes to allow time for
the appropriate tape to be located and read.
When the restore procedure is complete, a "Detailed Status Report" will be given,
listing the bytes transferred, the number of objects restored, and the number of
objects that failed to restore.
