Configuring the Oracle Calendar Client Version 10.x for the Mac

To configure the Oracle Calendar Client software to use the University's calendar server:

1. Open the Applications folder by choosing Applications from the Go menu in the Finder. Launch the Oracle Calendar client software.

2. A Sign-In window will appear, click the Other... button.

   

3. A Connection Manager window will appear. Click the New button.

   

4. A Connection Editor window will appear. In the Connection Name: field, type calendar.umd.edu. In the Server: field, type calendar.umd.edu. Click the Lookup button. Click the OK button. The Connection Editor window will close.

   

5. The Connection Manager window will re-appear. Select calendar.umd.edu and click the Make Default button. Click the Done button.

   

6. The Sign-In window will re-appear.

   

7. Type in your Directory ID in the User Name: field. If you don't know your ID and/or password, go to http://www.directory.umd.edu. Type your Directory password in the Password: field. Click the Sign-in button.

You are now ready to use your Oracle Calendar.
