Another popular storage device is the Zip disk. A Zip disk works very much
like a floppy disk, except:

Zip disks only work in Zip drives. Zip drives exist for both
PC and Mac computers, and can be either built into the computer
or can connect to the computer via a parallel or SCSI cable.

There are two versions of Zip disks and drives: the older version
can hold 100 MB of files, while the newer version can hold up to
250 MB of files. The 250 MB disks will only work in the 250 MB Zip
drives.

Zip disks usually cost around $20 a disk. A Zip drive can
cost between $100 (for the older 100 MB version) and $200 (for the
250 MB version).
Because a Zip disk can hold almost 70 times as much information as a
regular floppy disk, it can be used to store large graphic, music, or
presentation files. Just like a floppy disk, however, a Zip disk can
be physically damaged or have its data corrupted.
